Dear Parents/Guardians,
This year is the 45th Anniversary of the Marathon of Hope. On April 12th, 1980, Terry Fox set off on his most incredible journey to convince the world to find a cure for cancer. Terry Fox ran an average of 42 kilometers (26 miles) every day for 143 days. His courage and determination inspired millions of people. Terry’s call to action, asking $1 from every Canadian, has been answered close to 650 million times.
École Beausejour Early Years School’s annual walk will be on Friday September 19th, 2025. The walk will begin around 2:10 pm. The 3-5 students will start the walk first followed by the K-2 students. Please see the map on the reverse side.
All donations received will be given to the Terry Fox Foundation to further the cause of cancer research. This year, if our school fundraises $700 dollars, the students will earn a front row seat to watch a Teacher Vs. Admin Foot Race!

Staff will be on hand to supervise and assist students along the way. Parents are encouraged to join us on this day for the walk. Please let your child’s teacher know if you will be attending.
